Factors

Bond Market Conditions: Interest rate changes, inflation expectations, and overall bond market sentiment impact MBB, an ETF tracking mortgage-backed securities.

Federal Reserve Policy: The Fed's monetary policy, especially its purchases of mortgage-backed securities and management of interest rates, directly influences MBB's price.

Mortgage Rates: Changes in mortgage rates affect the attractiveness of existing mortgage-backed securities held by MBB, impacting its value.

Housing Market Conditions: Strength or weakness in the housing market affects the prepayment rates on mortgages, which in turn impacts MBB's cash flows and price.

Economic Data: Macroeconomic data releases, such as GDP growth, employment figures, and inflation reports, can influence investor sentiment and affect MBB's price.

Credit Risk: Concerns about the creditworthiness of mortgage borrowers can increase risk premiums and lower the value of MBB.

Supply and Demand: General supply and demand dynamics for fixed income ETFs, including investor flows into or out of MBB, affect its market price.

Global Events: Unexpected global economic or political events can lead to risk aversion and impact the demand for fixed income assets like MBB.
