There are five types of alert you can set, from simple price alerts and reminders to more customisable alerts using Markets.com’s powerful decision-making tools. The first four types of alert are quite basic:

Price Alert

Receive an instant alert as soon as your market hits a predetermined price. This may act as a buy/sell signal based on your trading setup.

Traders Trend

Get updated when the Traders Trend gauge reaches a certain level based on a predetermined % of traders either long or short.

Daily Change

These pre-set alerts are sent based on the % change that day of your specified market. This can be useful if you want to take advantage of wide-ranging or volatile markets.

Reminder

A simple alert that can be set up in advance to remind you about a specific market event, such as an economic data release or earnings update.

3

The fifth type, Analyst Recommendations, enables you to really customise what you want to know. It’s a fantastic way to keep informed of changes in the position of your favourite analyst, or the market consensus, in one place.

Analyst Recommendations Alerts

Recommendation Consensus

Set the alert to notify if the consensus (strong buy, buy, neutral, sell, strong sell) among analysts for a particular stock changes.

Target Price

Set the alert to notify you when the consensus price target hits a level you specify

Average Up/Downside

Set an alert to notify you when the consensus price target changes a certain %, determined by you.
